A Journey Through Parkinson's
For my senior year Capstone Project at NAU I teamed up with the talented Darrion Edwards and Cierra Shipley to create an investigative multi-media project about Parkinson's Disease.

My uncle was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2016, and my family had a difficult time talking about the disease and what it would mean for us as a family. I decided to research Parkinson's as a channel to start conversation and have my family members open up about what it is like having their husband/father diagnosed with a degenerative disease. It was a difficult project to complete, but in the end my family finally started talking about Parkinson's and how it will change our lives.

In this project I wrote the anchor story, "The Babbitt's journey through Parkinson's," and assisted with other multi-media endeavors including video editing, creating graphics and charts, editing audio files and photographing the family and Parkinson's events.
